NYCCT Women's Center and Access for Women are proud to present Women's Press Collective and a celebration of working women in honor of Women's History Month.

1 - 2:30 PM    FILM SHOWING:   Rich World, Poor Women 
Working women in developing nations generate most of the super-profits for multinational corporate

2:30 - 3:15 PM   SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER:  Jane LaTour
Noted journalist, labor activist and author of Sisters in the Brotherhoods, Jane Latour has written extensively on the leadership of women entering the job market in sectors of the economy traditionally denied to them.

3:30 - 5:30 PM   FILM SHOWING:  Rosie the Riveter
Award-winning director Connie fields interviews rank-and-file women leaders who entered manufacturing jobs during WWII and stepped forward to organize for decent pay, working conditions and treatment on the job.

Women's Press Collective organizers will introduce each film and lead discussions afterward.  Founded in 1982, WPC is an all-volunteer, non-government funded, private membership association of low-income working women and men, writers, graphic artists, printers and other publishing professionals dedicated to expanding the voice of low-paid working women.
